This lecture will explore myths and facts about scleral lenses, including new findings in corneal response to hypoxic stress generated by scleral lens wear, origin and nature of residual refractive astigmatism, usage of oblate lens designs on prolate corneas, and clinical impact of customizing peripheral curve system of scleral lenses.
